Geometry in Room 5

We have been learning how to measure area and perimeter of house designs. First the students had to design a plan of their house in their mathematics books. Then they had to build each others house using multi - link blocks following their design and measurements. Finally they built their house on Mine Craft following their plan. I think they came up with some fabulous designs. Well done Room 5!

Discovery Fun With Room 4 & 5

We found some really cool items on Porters Beach in the Abel Tasman National Park then we worked in with room 4 during Discovery time to make some artistic sculptures. Other activities on the day were building Geometric shapes out of Kilck Klack and painting Daffodils using water colour paints for Daffodil Day.

Camp Life

Room 5 Camp, 2013...Best Camp Ever! A huge heartfelt thanks from me to all the amazing children in Room 5 who made my first ever camp the best camp ever! You kids rock! And Thanks again to all the Parent Helpers :) I truly couldn't of done it without you :) thanks team awesomeness :)
