The Billy Cart Races

Wow! What a race, 'Eat My Dust' won again. 1D crashed ouch! Is she ok? What a crash I am looking forward to this race, I think Sarah is going to win. The race started opps I'm wrong, Sarah crashed into a bush. Steve fell over, what a fall! Then I wonder who's racing next. Ryan verse Eat My Dust verse Isaac, Who's going to win? Yay! Ryan won how exciting. The final is going to be another great race. _ Cooperative story written by Tyler, Oriwa, Ebon and Mikayla. Crash of the centeray - Sarah eagerly tugged her Go-cart up the hill and hoped in it. Victoria held onto the end as Mrs Parfitt got her whistle "ready set go" she yelled. The go-cart went rolling down the hill, she turned to the right and lost control and went straight towards the bush. "Watch out" we yelled but it was too late she charged straight towards Mr Perry. Oh no she went right between his legs._ Cooperative story written by River, Lewis, Charlie, Ethan.

Color sports day :)

We are yellow, we are here the rest of you will bow in fear! :) Yay! What a day an what a win! Well done 'Yellow' I am extremely proud of both your sporting abilities an your sportsmanship :)

As we slid on the slide the bubbles slid down my throat and it tasted gross.The water from his gun shot in my eye, I shot mine back in his mouth as I yelled "pay back" It was so fun :)I jumped into the pool then suddenly a bucket of water got dunked on me, I turned to see Bayley laughing :)

Moutere Mayham Prize Giving and Shared Morning Tea!

What better way to recover from the outstanding effort made at our now annual 'Moutere Mayhem' fundrasier than with a delicious shared morning tea and prize giving. :) A huge congratulations to Julius and Charlie who both collected prizes for their teams entries. Well done to all those who entered, it definately was a great day all round which wouldn't of been possible with out our outstanding team of organisers, parent helpers and community sponsers! From both me and all the children a HUGE and Heart felt THANKS!!!!

Swimming in Assembly!

Mark was a great sport in yesterday’s assembly when he showed off his amazing over arm skills. Aquatic Kiwi was here to award our school with a 'Safe Swimming Certificate!' Well done Moutere Kids 

The water might be a tad cold but that won’t stop us!!! We are in and we are learning to swim. A huge ‘Thank you’ to Melissa for coming in and sharing your skills with us.

Are you ready? Preparing ourselves for a Natural Disaster

This term our 'Big Idea' is Preparing for the future! and our 'Big Question' is Are you ready? Mrs Bowen asked us to sort through a pile of emergency items that she had been Compiled from internet searches, discussions with staff and emergency professionals and come up with our own 'Emergency Kits' that would later be put together and placed in each classroom. To do this we firstly discussed the types of Natural disasters (scenarios) we could be involved in while at school. Then we broke into groups and each focusing on a different scenario sorted through the items Mrs Bowen had given us. Once we were happy with our choices we swapped scenarios and kits with another group for moderation. Coming back together as a class we shared our Kits with each other and saw that there were a lot of similarities between kits. It was from here we were able to put together and overall emergency kit that would best cover all scenarios. We then gave our ideas back to Mrs Bowen.

Getting Green in the Garden :)

Weeding the garden and turning the dirt ready to plant our delicious vegetables kindly donated by Jack and his family :)

Our good looking model Sam, models the new sports singlet’s that were purchased with money raised at last years Moutere Mayhem event! These singlet’s will be used by both our Touch and Miniball players during the year as well as for many of our interschool competitions.
